Meet Jill Turgeon: The Realtor Who’s Been “In the Biz” Since She Was Nine
Some kids played house. Jill sold it.
It all started when she was just nine years old. Every guest who stepped into the her family household was taken on a full, animated tour—closet space included. Jill would flick the lights on and off, walk them from room to room, and finish with a smile, as if closing her first deal. Her family thought it was cute. Jill knew it was destiny.
By age ten, she’d moved beyond tours. One afternoon, her mom came home to find the living room completely rearranged, a dresser mysteriously parked in the hallway, and her children acting like a mini moving crew. Jill had orchestrated a full-blown bedroom switcheroo—artwork included. Home staging wasn’t something she learned in a class. It was already in her blood.
As a teenager, she turned the family home into her personal design lab, constantly reinventing spaces with a flair that couldn't be taught. It drove her mom up the wall!
At 18, filled with ambition, Jill applied to work at a local real estate brokerage. After a rigorous aptitude test, the Broker looked at her and said, “For someone your age, these are some of the best scores I’ve ever seen. Come back when you’re 25.” Heartbroken but undeterred, Jill did exactly that.
By 25, Jill was licensed and unstoppable—selling 21 homes in her first year, shattering expectations and setting a tone that would define her career. This was 7 x the average for Agents selling that year.
But Jill wasn’t content with just selling homes. She had a vision—to elevate how homes were presented to buyers. So in 2003, long before "Home Staging" was a buzzword, she launched Simply Irresistible Interiors Inc. She didn’t have a warehouse full of furniture yet, so she staged listings using her own home décor. People constantly asked, “Are you moving?” Nope. Jill was just busy turning ordinary listings into showstoppers.
Today, Simply Irresistible Interiors can stage up to 100 homes a year, helping sellers command attention—and stronger offers. Whether it’s a resale home, investor property, or a luxury show suite, Jill brings out the best in every space. Her listings benefit from professional staging at a reduced cost, because she knows firsthand how much faster a beautifully staged home can sell—and for more money.
With multiple national awards from RESA and IHASP under her belt, Jill is Greater Edmonton’s only award-winning Stager who also sells real estate full-time.
